Who we are

Sharma Education Academy ("we", "us", "our") is an education and admission counselling practice located at Building No. 1032, Opp. PNB Bank, Dhab Khatikan Bazar, Near Hindu College, Amritsar, Punjab, 143001. This policy applies to this website and to enquiries you send us through it, by phone or by WhatsApp.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. Through our counselling and course enquiry forms, or in a call or WhatsApp message, this typically includes:

Your name, mobile number and WhatsApp number
Your highest qualification, year of passing and length of study gap
The course or field you are interested in and your preferred location or mode of study
Any message or background you choose to share
Copies or photographs of academic documents, if you send them to us for eligibility checking

We do not ask for and do not want your passwords, bank details, card numbers, UPI PINs or OTPs. No genuine counselling process requires them.

To assess your eligibility for courses and institutions
To assist with your application and documentation where you ask us to
To respond to follow-up questions during your admission process

Your information is used only for counselling and admission assistance. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it, and we do not add you to unrelated marketing lists.

Sharing your information

We share your details with a third party in only two situations: with a university, board or institute where you have asked us to assist with your application to them, and where we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority. Nothing else is shared without your instruction.

Enquiry forms and WhatsApp

Our enquiry forms are designed to hand your details to us directly — depending on the configured option, by opening WhatsApp or your email application with your details filled in, or by sending them to our own enquiry inbox. When you contact us through WhatsApp, that conversation is also subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms, which we do not control.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and, on our contact page, a map is embedded from Google Maps; these services may receive your IP address as part of serving that content. If we add analytics in future, this policy will be updated to say so.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for as long as is needed to assist you, and afterwards only as long as is reasonable for our own records. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Children

Students under 18 are welcome to receive counselling, and we encourage a parent or guardian to be part of the conversation. We do not knowingly collect information from a child without a parent or guardian being involved.

We take reasonable care to keep your information safe and limit access to it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive financial information to us through any channel.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the current version.
